2015 - 2017
Crash is a collection of large scale graphite drawings created within a transitional time. They combine muses—from films to Renaissance paintings—with the artist’s connection to motion through driving and riding. The drawings erupted out of a stagnant period in the artist’s life. The drawings are explorations in how to navigate a liminal period, and each reflects the energy of shifting from painting what was safe to drawing what she loved.
