After a decade-long hiatus from painting to focus on the possibilities of graphite, the past two years followed an intense, revitalizing pull back toward color. This new series of oil paintings is the result of that evolution: a blend of gouache light studies captured during my travels and a “color book” of inspirations drawn from the world of fashion and identity. From gestural shadows painted on sun-soaked walls in Mexico to the soft hum of Dutch winter light, these pieces represent a new language where color takes precedence over representation.
